Youth Art For Healing
In Action

Youth Art For Healing is excited to present this video about all that we have been doing during the 2022-23 school year and how we will be moving forward with the Matt Papirmeister Award for student artists in the future.

Gifts of Gratitude

During the 2020-21 and 2021-22 school years, our student artists created amazing Gifts of Gratitude paintings to give to frontline healthcare HEROES to thank them for their service during the COVID-19 pandemic. We continued this project during the 2022-23 school year as well.

Watch the video below to see just how POWERFUL it is for student artists to create and give Gifts of Gratitude paintings to frontline healthcare workers!

Kids Teach Philanthropy

In the fall of 2021, Youth Art For Healing was delighted to collaborate with The Giving Square, an organization that recognizes children as leaders for a new model of philanthropy and gives them the tools, permission, and support to make a positive impact. We worked together to create a video for their Kids Teach Philanthropy video series, and we're pleased to share the full version of the video with you!

Time Lapse Videos

Some of our student artists are not only talented painters, but also enjoy putting together time-lapse videos of their creative process. Please enjoy viewing these outstanding time-lapse videos created by our students over the past few years.

The first time-lapse video was created by Duyen, a high school student artist, during the 2021-22 school year. The video shows her working throughout the year on her beautiful painting, which is now permanently installed at MedStar Health Physical Therapy at Ellicott City.

The second video, created by high school student artists Nora and Julia, shows the students’ beautiful painting as it progressed during the 2019-20 school year. This painting is now installed at MedStar National Rehabilitation Hospital in Washington, D.C.
